President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and Goodwill Ambassador of the International Human Rights Defence Committee (IHRDC), Nezaket Emine Atasoy, visited the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Within the scope of the visit, Ambassador Atasoy met with the President Ersin Tatar. During the bilateral meeting, a roadmap was drawn for investments that can be made in common areas after the pandemic. Ambassador Atasoy later met with leading engineers in the fields of energy, agriculture, medical and construction.
Also, meetings were held with Minister of Energy and Economy and Deputy Prime Minister Mr.Erhan Arıklı, Minister of Tourism and Environment Mr.Fikri Ataoğlu, Minister of Public Works and Transport Mr.Resmite Eroğlu Canaltay, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr.Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Assoc. Dr. Düriye Deren Oygar, 3rd President Dr. Derviş Eroğlu, 2nd President Mehmet Ali Talat, 4th President Mustafa Akıncı and Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry President Ali Kamacıoğlu.
The purpose of the visit is to further strengthen the relations upon the previous cooperation protocol between the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce and ULUSKON. At the meeting, consultations were held with the leading business world in Cyprus on joint projects and social programs.

SUPPORT FROM ULUSKON TO CYPRUS ENERGY PROJECTS
President of the International Investment and Business Confederation and IHRDC (International Human Rights Defence Committee) Goodwill Ambassador Nezaket Emine Atasoy had her first official meeting with Erhan Arıklı during her long-planned visit to Cyprus. Energy policies of the TRNC were discussed at the meeting.
Mr. Erhan Arıklı said, “The TRNC is at the time when it needs investments. Our biggest need is energy. We will also open the Maraş region to settlement. In this regard, we want ULUSKON members to come and see this region and be ready when the time comes.” On these words, Mrs. Atasoy promised that ULUSKON members would come to the Maraş region and make the first investments when the time comes.
ULUSKON PRESIDENT MEET WITH 3th PRESIDENT DR. DERVİŞ EROĞLU
President Eroğlu congratulated Nezaket Emine Atasoy for her new duty as Goodwill Ambassador.
DR. DERVİŞ EROĞLU said, “I would like to ask you to make the TRNC more heard with the help of your position as the ULUSKON President and Goodwill Ambassador.”
Ambassador Atasoy stated that the TRNC was also mentioned in every meeting he organized and said, “We never forget our young homeland.”
MEETING BETWEEN PRESIDENT ATASOY AND 2nd PRESIDENT MEHMET ALI TALAT
President Mehmet Ali Talat started his speech by wishing President Atasoy success in her new duty.

Minister Canaltay said, “You are very valuable to us. Thank you for your words. Currently, our country is very open to investments. Soilless investment is very important to us. In addition, we ask for your support in infrastructure and digitalization issues.”

Minister Fikri Ataoğlu said, “We are happy to host you here. It is important to move our bond forward in the relations between the motherland and the foster-land. It is very valuable to carry this bond forward during your visits.”

AMBASSADOR ATASOY: “WE WILL EXPAND TRADE BETWEEN CYPRUS AND TURKEY”
At the beginning of the pandemic, the second meeting took place over the cooperation protocol signed between the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce and ULUSKON. Mr. Turgay Deniz stated, “The pandemic intervened during the implementation of the protocol. But after that, we started to accelerate the work based on our agreement.”
Mrs. Nezaket Atasoy said, “The Republic of Turkey and the business world appreciated our cooperation agreement. Today, we came with a very strong delegation to develop this cooperation. Our delegation includes leaders in the fields of construction, energy, agriculture and medicine. We will develop all kinds of investments especially in these areas.”
After the meeting, negotiations were held between the leading business people of the TRNC and the ULUSKON delegation.
COOPERATION DECISION HAS BEEN MADE BETWEEN ULUSKON AND CYPRUS CHAMBER OF INDUSTRY
